Disney filed permits today to begin queue modifications at the long-suffering Winnie the Pooh attraction in the Magic Kingdom. These modifications should remove the blight otherwise known as Tigger’s Bouncy Place.
If you’re uninitiated, Tigger’s Bouncy Place was a section the interactive queue at the attraction which was added early this year. It had circular panels on springs in the ground that guests could hop on top of – and they would sink into the ground and spring back up. It was essentially a terrible idea and a broken ankle waiting to happen.
During the soft-openings of the new queue it became obvious just how bad of an idea it was and management shut it down. It never even made it to the formal opening day of the renovated queue. It has been sitting hidden behind temporary potted plants ever since – awaiting some sort of decision. Occasionally CM’s or management would “break in” to the area and bounce around a bit.The new paperwork states the modification should be complete by September.
