Official: Tigger Bouncy Place to Become Pooh Meet and Greet

Disney filed paperwork today to install a new Winnie the Pooh meet and greet in the location of the former Tigger’s Bouncy Place portion of The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh attraction queue. This explains the permit last month to demolish that portion of the ride queue and will give Pooh a new home at the Magic Kingdom park. However, this doesn’t put the FASTPASS for one of Walt Disney World’s most popular attractions back -near- the attraction.  Back when they first built the ill-fated “Bouncy Place” Disney chose to remove the FASTPASS machines from near the attraction and have them distributed from near Philharmagic on the other side of Fantasyland. It looks like that strange “temporary” setup is going to continue.

As for the Bouncy place if you’re uninitiated: Tigger’s Bouncy Place was a section the interactive queue at the attraction which was added earlier this year. It had circular panels on springs in the ground that guests could hop on top of – and they would sink into the ground and spring back up. It was essentially a terrible idea and a broken ankle waiting to happen.

During the soft-openings of the new queue it became obvious just how bad of an idea it was and management shut it down. It never even made it to the formal opening day of the renovated queue. It has been sitting hidden behind temporary potted plants ever since – awaiting some sort of decision. Occasionally CM’s or management would “break in” to the area and bounce around a bit. Here’s a video of the much-maligned mistake in action:
